We Do More Than Just Exterminate Pests…
Yes, we are exterminators. But we look at what we do as more than just removing and exterminating pests. We help families enjoy their home, we help business owners make a living and we help everyone feel safe. While most pests are more annoying than dangerous some pests can represent a real danger to people. Small mammals like mice and rats can carry diseases and spiders like the black window can make a person or pet very ill. Other pests don’t threaten your health but if you wake up every morning with a series of bed bug bites are you going to sleep well? Pests can ruin your quality of life.
For business owners, pests become an issue of maintaining your livelihood. If anyone sees ONE pest in your restaurant or hotel you’re now stuck with that label for years to come.
When you imagine the impact that pests can have on your home or business hiring a professional exterminator becomes an easy choice. That’s why we do more than just exterminate pests.
Proactive Pest Control Makes All The Difference
Ever wonder why some exterminators put you on a quarterly contract and others don’t? The fact is, any exterminator worth their salt should push for a regular contract because one of the most important parts of pest control is regular preventative treatments. While there are certainly one time jobs, in order to keep your home or business pest free you’ll need regular extermination services. While we could advertise and promote no contract services it just doesn’t make sense.
If you were sick, would you rather have your symptoms treated or get the cure to your disease? When it comes to pest control, one time treatments sound nice but they’re often like treating symptoms. Spiders, ants or other bugs may be gone for a little while but unless you proactively prevent the problem they will be back. That’s why we believe regular extermination services are the only way to go.
We’ve seen it all.
From birds in the dryer vent to black widow spiders and complete bed bug infestations we’ve seen just about everything there is to see. That means we’ve probably worked with someone in your exact situation and that means we can help you too. So whether you’ve seen one spider or 50 we can help. Give us a call today.
Frequently Asked Questions
We get a lot of questions about our extermination services and thought we should take some time to address some of them. If you find that we’re missing one let us know!
Can’t I just get a pest spray from the store? Do I really need an exterminator?
Yes, you can…But it probably won’t do much. Amatuer applications of over-the-counter extermination products are generally not very effective. Even worse, these products are usually less sophisticated than our family-safe chemicals and as a result can be quite harmful to pests and children. If you do successfully remove the pests you’ve got to ask yourself how you got a pest problem in the first place and more importantly what are you going to do to prevent it again. That’s we’re such big proponents of reguarlarly scheduled extermination services.
Lastly, is spraying in the nooks and crannies of your home really how you want to spend your weekend? Save time and trust your local Highlands Ranch exterminator.
How can I trust your exterminators in my home?
We aren’t a big corporation that runs through dozens of extermintors a year. We’re experienced and small. The best of both worlds. When you call our service you’ll speak with Jesse. Jess is the same exterminator who will service your home and the same person you’ll speak with when you call with any questions. In short, you can trust us because you’ll know us. We aren’t a huge faceless corporation. We’re a local business and a Colorado local just like you.
How quickly can you schedule me?
We know that when you’re dealing with pests in your home the last thing you want to do is wait weeks for a visit. For the most part, we’re able to schedule you in with 48 hours of your call. Obviously this can change during holidays or weekends. We’re often able to schedule you in for the same day!
Nobody wants to share their home with spiders of any kind but especially spiders like the black widow. As we’ve said before, the best way to deal with a pest problem is to stop it before it starts. When it comes to spiders, here’s what we suggest:
- Make sure to clear out their preferred hiding places. This means dark areas like garages, attics, and basements should have limited clutter for them to hide in.
- Limit entry points by making sure you have no holes in your screen doors or windows. Spiders are small and happy to crawl inside your if they find a spot.
- Vacuum problem areas frequently. This will immediately remove webs, eggs, and even spiders before they become a problem.
But don’t mess around with your spider problem. If things have gotten out of hand it’s time to call your local spider exterminator.
Bed Bug Inspection and Extermination
Bed bugs can enter your home through a variety of routes but most times it’s a result of an infected item being brought into your home. Once you have a bed bug infestation, hiring a professional exterminator is really your best option as they can be very difficult to remove. As always, the best option is to prevent the bed bug infestation in the first place. The EPA has tips on preventing bed bugs and we thought we’d share a few of them here:
- Always check second-hand couches, sofas, clothes, beds and anything else of that nature before bringing it into your home. These items can be infested with bed bugs.
- If you’re in a high-risk area, consider purchasing an encasement for your mattress. A quality mattress cover will prevent bed bugs from ever invading your bed.
- Vacuum frequently. This is an effective method for most pests and by frequently vacuuming you can stop a few bugs from turning into thousands.
- Use caution with shared laundry facilities. This places can be like a playground for bed bugs.
If you’re waking up with itchy, small, red bites that are in a line there’s a chance you’re dealing with bed bugs. It can be very difficult to actually find them though. Don’t waste time, give your local exterminator a call and let’s help you rest easy.
Believe it or not, wasps actually have a lot of benefits in that they can keep other pests at bay. However, if your allergic or have small children then it doesn’t matter what kind of benefits they provide if they nest too close to your home you want them gone. Here’s how you can prevent wasps from taking hold on your property
- Pick up a wasp trap. These traps come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes. Some of them can actually end up looking quite nice if you’re worried about that. These traps allow the wasps to enter but don’t let them exit. This can be a good way to manage a population but if you’ve already got an established nest on your property you’ll need to take a little more action.
- There are a variety of oils you can use on your property in problem areas that will repel and discourage wasps. Again, this will work if you take action before you have an established nest.
Once you have a problematic wasp nest, we highly suggest you give an exterminator a call. An experienced exterminator will know how to completely remove the nest without getting stung or sending out a swarm of angry wasps.
Ants are some of the more tenacious and persistent pests you can find. Extermination will generally require more than one treatment but most importantly you have to make sure that ants don’t have continued access to your home. Because of their small size, ants can make their way into your home through even the smallest of entries. A professional exterminator knows where to look and will make sure your home doesn’t have any ant-friendly entry points.
Earwig and Silverfish Exterminator
Earwigs are a lot more harmless than they look. With their long body, numerous legs and large pincers they certainly play the part of a creepy pest. One of the best ways to keep them under control is by making sure they don’t have any opportunity to hide your home.
They love cool, dark and often times damp areas. We most often see these pets in areas like garages and basements but one of their favorite places to hide is under the sink. You exterminator should include checking under the sink as part of any complete pest control plan.
Having a regularly scheduled exterminator is a must have for any commericial property. Having pests of any kind reflects poorly on your business and the worst thing that can happen is your resutrant becomes known for having unwanted pests. It only takes one critter at the wrong time. We highly recommend regular inspections and treatments for any commericial business.
Who wants to deal with pests in the same place sleep?! Well, you don’t have to! A home with pests isn’t a safe home.
Besides the obvious treatments, a professional exterminator can also help pest-proof your home with a complete inspection of your property. One of the best ways to prevent pests from ever taking hold is to make sure they don’t have any easy entry points. These can sometimes be hard to spot but a professional will know exactly what to look for.
